 Hi there...
I'm going to Tx for the holidays.  I'll be leaving this sunday and coming back Jan 4th.  I may get a chance to post at my parents, but I don't gaurentee it.

What's been happening here?

• Creating videos and having trouble with converting to swf... freakin frustrating which could be solved if i didn't have to use freeware.
• Maple has been getting beaten up by Oz on a regular basis, so I clipped his claws and didn't clip hers.  We'll see if she has less scabs when I come home
• Oz is doing okay.  I think he's losing weight, but it's hard to tell.  He has this sinus thing that makes him do a wheezing thing... but it seems seasonal and the vets said not to worry about it.
• got my hair chopped off into a short bob yesterday.  Now i need a color.
• I'm on track to move to the new apartment in Jan.  Just need to pay the last amount of money and then i can move in at my leisure.

That's it with me.  Nothing really new.

• spend a month in Ireland (been there, but really want to go back)

• visit all my friends for a week each

Work is good but it's the rush before the next semester.

• I'm having everyone do job inventories cause i'm looking at switching people around... that needs to be done over the break.
• I'm collaborating with an english fac member to help his online class write a paper.  I've GOT to work on that website over the break too.
• And we are in the final phases of updating the website!!! YEAH!! *much jumping up and down*  Here's the new pages so far...

Oh yeah... Jeanne, Matt and Conner are going to Italy in May. *bummer*

 That's it.

It's over!.. the 3 day was a blast even if it was a WHOLE lot a HARD work! Basically it rained all day Friday and that night was freezing temps so we spent the night in a warehouse (hard cement floor). Saturday was bad in the morning but much better in the afternoon, finally got a shower and pitched the tent. Saturday night was at camp and Sunday was packing and cleaning the camp.

Food crew was up at 4 am each morning (sometimes earlier based on bus schedules) and in "bed" by 12:00 am each night. I couldn't sleep on the cement ( I kept waking up every hour) but I did get a 30 min nap on Saturday after my shower). Sunday there weren't enough camp crew to clean up properly so all the crew pitched in to help. We fed everyone then broke down tables and picked up and sorted trash. I was so tired by closing that I skipped the closing ceremony.

But it was a great adventure and I wouldn't have missed it for the world. In fact I already signed up to do it next year!

So the 3 day in ATL is this weekend!  WOW... I'm soo not ready.   But I will be by Thursday.  I'm working the camp on the food crew.  We have themes everyday.  MASH scrubs for the first night and Mardi Bras for the second night.  I bought scrubs weeks ago and

So I had my annual last week...
and my ekg came back "funny". My doc has a REALLY old machine so I figured it was their machine and nothing to worry about, but "better to be safe then sorry" means I got to go to the cardiologist (joy of joys)

Turns out my ekg is just funny (it likes to laugh and have a good time). Basically I'm supposed to have a small up blip and then a deep dip.

But mine doesn't have the blip part. 

So the cardiologist wanted me to have a stress test.  Ok no big deal except no caffeine 24 hours before and no food 12 hours... but I could have water. yippee...  

Anyway... Mom has had 2 stress tests so she told me what to expect and it wasn't that bad except for my arm falling asleep because it had to stay above my head for 20 minutes... and the straw in my arm for the iv.  I was doing pretty good expect for my blood pressure (i think)  she didn't ask me when I was ready for the second isotope she just called the lady over after my third blood pressure reading.  I was at 149 beats instead of the 157... but I didn't feel bad or anything.  Anyhoo...

I'll find out on Thursday what they found if anything.

Sigh...
I'm getting old.

Employees who act innocent when you know that they know that they did the wrong thing just REALLY ANNOY me. Take responsibility for your actions when you know your wrong for doing it. Don't deny because you think you can get away with it. And don't try to guilt me into believing you because we're friends. I'm your boss first and if you're going to lie to me because you think you can get away with it... you've got another thing coming. And in the end we are just going to stop being friends because if you can't handle having me tell you what to do without always trying to find a way around it or out of it then obviously you can't handle having your boss as your friend and I don't need that aggravation. Be an adult.

We had Jennifer's baby shower at work today. I made a star blanket, a bunny to match it and a spiked ball for her baby. I'll be uploading the pictures here tomorrow

Okay I haven't updated since ALA... 

The funnest thing was I shot a gun.  My social group was going to the Wild West Traders to use their indoor range to take a class and shoot.  The instructor was really good and I wasn't the only person in the room who had never held a gun before.  Turns out I'm a pretty good shot... but I don't think you can miss that much from 15 feet.  Here's the target of my first 40 bullets.

I'm back from ALA and about to leave for the 4th to go to TX.

ALA was great!! I roomed with Dawn (who is the best roommate!) and I got to spend time with Julie and Sueling (which I loved doing!)

How  exactly does two months pass without my making one single entry?!

Okay so to up date you...

I left off at the Media festival... which was interesting and funish.  That was March.  The rest of March was bad... My Vanna passed away.  Nuf said.

Moving on to April...  I got a new cat... Oz is still a weenie about being by himself.  Her name is Maple and she's 6.  Was a pet, but her owner died and then she spent 2 years in the pen before I took her home.  Needless to say she's GRATEFUL!  Very sweet cat.  At work ... Got the summer desk schedule done after Lots of alterations, had a book sale for NLW and went to the BIG Media Festival judging.  On the social side... signed up for the 3day, started a social group and went to two events this month (hiking and a festival)

May... at work is was conferences galore (three of them one week after another) but they were all good conferences...so I won't complain too much.  Also at work we had to strip the books in the collection cause we are getting a new security system installed in aug.  On the social front  I went to the Callaway Gardens (very beautiful!  Lots of pics on snapfish, let me know if you want access) , the Renaissance festival (i always enjoy those) and to see Sweeny Todd at the Fox Theater in Atlanta (great production).  Also for Memorial day there were 2 picnics.  One thrown by my boss at this cabin but the Tn border and one for my social group at Lanier Lake (both were fun)

And that brings us to June... I saw Jeff Dunham  (LIVE.... CLOSE TO THE FRONT ROW), and am going hiking tomorrow.  At work I'm training everyone to work on meebo, so we can start Vref service.  I saw Sex in the City with a friend and we both enjoyed it.  Went to an internatinal farmers market in Dekalb (which isn't really a farmers market, just a big grocery store) and my sis's bday was on the 1st.

For the rest of the month I will be going to ALA  and then to TX for the 4th.  So I hate to say it... but I'll post more in July.
